Saluting The Ashes Heroes... And The Mighty Durham Contribution

Plenty of people (including probably 11 cricketers will be waking up with sore heads this morning) following the celebrations of England's magnificent Ashes triumph yesterday. Once again the Test series has had the nation gripped and, once again, England have heroically come out on top.

I have to say a particular congratulations to the Durham heroes who played such an important role in the victory. Paul Collingwood, who kept us in the game at Cardiff and, effectively kept the series alive. Graham Onions, for some inspired bowling. And Steve Harmison, for a hugely memorable bowling spell yesterday, that reminded us that, at his best he is one of the world's most fearsome fast bowlers. The whole of Durham should be very proud of their efforts.

Now roll on us winning the Ashes again when we head down under...
